Why you really do need a car in Westpunt
In Willemstad you can still get by on taxis. Not here. The supermarket is a drive, the restaurant is a drive, and today's beach is a different beach from tomorrow's. Without your own transport you are stuck with one bay and one menu.

On the road to the west
The roads in Bandabou
The main road to Westpunt is well surfaced. The last few hundred metres to some bays are unpaved; driving slowly is enough, you usually do not need a 4x4.
Fill up before you set off
There are only a couple of petrol stations between Willemstad and Westpunt, and they close early. Set off with a full tank and you need not think about it again.
Bring food and water
The smaller bays have no shops and sometimes no beach bar. The cool box we include free of charge is not a luxury here, just practical.

Great choice if you want to rent a car. Nice people, good cars (not your small wheeled dinky toys), excellent communication. No rental deposit, and you can even pick up or drop off the car at the airport, a 5 mins procedure. They even threw in two packages of peanuts and bottles cooled water. Will be our next choice no doubt

Highly recommend this car rental service. It was the most hassle free experience. Sandor delivered the car to our resort 15 minutes after we checked in. Car was clean and included a cooler. They also gifted us with a bag of waters and snacks. Such a personal touch.

We had an amazing experience renting with Blue Haven! The whole process was easy and simple, through direct contact with the owners. They had the car at the airport entrance as soon as we arrived and pick up and drop off process did not take more than 5 minutes. Amazing!!
